@@curtisck813 I love mine. I recommend it. Especially since the price has dropped a lot since I got mine. NOW I did make a bunch tweaks to mine to make to make it function as I think it should and to make it mine so to speak. The details are amazing I love the sound it comes with. I did have to replace an O ring in the steering cylinders. I have a friend that has one and has had some hydraulic fitting issues he didn’t really fix it properly and it led to another failure. You can have issues with any of these machines though really.

VATERRA discontinued making them in 2017 and it takes me forever to modify one so it’s something you would have to build yourself from some type of RC vehicle unfortunately

hopefully you can just click on that link.. I can. I cut off the channel 9-16 pins on one side of the decoder to make it more compact and had use channels 1-8 inside a little bruder skid steer conversion with limited room.

I did the Wuehlbox APK 40 conversion for my Volvo e160. I mixed up a hose at the end of the hydraulic pipes ,3 day of headache. I thought my control was broken 😅.Thanks for responding. Have a great day

Hello, it’s me again. So all of a sudden when I swing left, I have to move the gimbal twice , swing right it works fine. When I reverse the channel it does the same thing but in opposite direction. Any advice? Thanks

it has one built it it makes a high pitch noise you can set the low voltage alert on the screen inside the cab with the 3 little buttons under the display on the dash

@@spiggen1 lol RIGHT!!! it’s a crazy story I had replaced all the lines (I got it hot in July the day it delivered) I ran it and it overheated because the exhaust fan had the wire in the way and it was stopped. I think the heat made the lines weak because this was the second line that blew so I decided to just replace them all. Well.. then I hooked one of be twin lift cylinders up wrong so one was going up while the other was going down. He offered to fix it so I gave it to him to fix. A couple months later he met me to give it back I was under the impression it was done except for a little radio programming. I had also given him a X20 radio to replace the X9E. Well we met but it was still in pieces I told him I wasn’t in a hurry so we decided it would be best if he just kept it until he had time to finish it. I’ve messaged and called him a few times since April 2020 when we met last and he hasn’t replied. ALSO he has disappeared from the hobby and FB where he had been very active. His wife is active I sent her a message on messenger but it went unanswered. He moved a couple years ago I just need to take the time to find him and get it back. That’s most of the story I left some of his personal family issues out of it. I still think he’s a great guy (crazy aren’t I) my friends in the hobby are all irate about it. I just can’t hate the guy. One day I’ll be reunited with old Green Mother #13 in the meanwhile I have enough other stuff to keep me happy 😃.

Hard to say without having it in front of me. Did you try and uninstall the telemetry sensor and put it back the way it was? Where are you located? Just curious I travel the USA. I’m near Austin TX tonight then Laredo and working my way back to Washington DC.

I haven’t tried uninstalling the sensor, but I don’t think that’s causing the problem. After I first plugged it in, everything was fine until I shut it down and tried to power it on again. Couldn’t hurt to try it though. I’ll let you know if it works. How did you remove the right side fake tank? It looks like you have to remove the outer panel first so you can have access to the hex bolts. I live in Michigan. I drive mostly regional, though I do some long haul stuff from time to time.

HEY!! it just hit me 😅 you know that the “joystick” inside the cab is also an on off switch right??? it moves left-right if you didn’t know that and hit it BUT I’m pretty sure mine was in the off position when I got mine so you should know about it but maybe it got bumped and you just didn’t think about it??

I didn’t know that. Apparently mine was in the on position when I got it. I’ll check it out this weekend. I unplugged the voltage sensor I installed and that didn’t help. Thanks for the tip!!!

Hey, I forgot to ask you this. When I was looking things over under the cab I noticed a servo connector wire that comes out of the cab that wasn’t connected to anything. Do you know what channel on the receivers that goes to? I might have pulled that out when I took the cab off.

I appreciate it. I don’t care about subscriber count and growing my channel you’ll never hear me say like and subscribe lol I’m just here to share my RC’s mostly. What I do care about is answering comments. I try and reply to every comment and it irritates me when I see one from months ago that I missed. I had questions when I first discovered 1:14 scale and it seemed difficult to get answers. That’s my goal here I’m sure people (subscribers) come and go and I’m totally fine with that. That being said the light controller is an OB1 V3.1S another guy did the lights on it for me because mine always end up a mess 😅 he does a nice clean job. There are a ton of parts on this truck and the only thing I’ve done to it myself is program and add the radio/receiver. I’m not a builder. I do little things and repairs I’m absolutely no good at body work or paint so I don’t even try. The cab and hood are from TrueScaleRC.com the dump body is DPS it has a bunch of Lesu parts and some custom Carlos Pagan from Facebook. I’ve been trying to get you a link for the OB1 lights but they all seem to be out of stock or unavailable so I decided to just tell you instead. Thanks for the comment 🤠

I bought the RC cop car then modified it. It was only 2 channels (drive/steering) the lights on the roof and push bumper came on and stayed on the whole time when you turned the car on. It had no siren or other lights I added all that along with the 10 channel radio and all the switches to do everything from the radio. The RC Vaterra 2012 CHP cop car was discontinued in 2017. You would have to buy something and make one yourself.

the ones it comes with are actually really nice and pre-cut BUT the one says 998K 🤭 I never even noticed until a buddy told me and he said he never noticed a friend that was over pointed it out. ALSO they have the logo mirrored it’s on the other side. It is in front of the C on CAT and the 1:1 is after the T on CAT. I have another friend that just bought my buddies #0026 and he’s getting into making decals I’ll see if he can make some are you wanting just like a 1:1 ? they have older and newer versions on the 1:1 also. The ones they are simulated are the newer version.

My loader only came with Kabolite decals, no Cat. What do you mean by 1:1?

@@gotoschlric2001 OH!! my buddies was the same he didn’t get any CAT with his. This model is 1:14 and the full size machine “the real one” is 1:1 ours are “real” they are just scaled down so I tend to say 1:1 vs real As it turns out the only thing on mine are the 998 instead of 988 the CAT is correct. I’m still waiting to see if my other buddy that is getting #0026 to see if he will make some. I’ll let you know.

OK well my buddy that was making decals made the 988k and it looks pretty good but it’s just black and white… He’s not making the CAT because he has the ones like mine and he can’t make color. You might have to make a trip to a sign shop and get them to custom make them they can use white vinyl and print it in color. Sorry

yes the left and right “sliders” (track levers if it was an excavator) are for the 2 extra hydraulic auxiliary lines if you got the one with the hydraulic quick coupler bucket. I don’t plan on using them so I remapped my sound to the right side so i can have both thumbs on the sticks and use my right index finger to “beep” the horn like when your loaded bucket is in the air and a truck is backing under it and you honk to tell it to stop. Or honk when loaded to tell them to go. The left one I use for the quick coupler. I turned off the two channels in the radio for the two valves I’ll never use for the aux hydraulic lines. The hydraulic return is for self centering steering I found it to be useless. Nice try but FAIL in my opinion. I shut that channel off also BUT ended up having to turn it back on because it limits the steering angle when on and for some reason would do this even when I disabled it so I had to put it back on a switch. I mixed my pump on all my hydraulics so the pump only runs when I move a control. I don’t even idle my pump the delay is minimal the pump is nearly silent. I moved the pump switch to the right dial down bottom and rarely turn it to idle but you can if the slight delay bothers you. You can fix the boom drop by using expo expo to delay the valve opening so the pump starts first before the valve opens. I should probably make a video on all this stuff 😅

I have both can’t remember which one I put in but it doesn’t matter. 32 won’t hurt anything. Go inside under the cab and cut or unplug the single wire that comes off the steering channel (4) I think that’s the stupid turn signals and clicking noise it stops that. Also in the right side (fake) tank the drive ESC is in there pull the jumper out for the fwd-brk-rev and that makes it fwd/rev with no brake then add delay on the radio. I’ll try and make a video for you.

Hey, me again. How do you remove the right side tank? I removed the cab to do some stuff and after I got done nothing happens when I press the power switch. No voltage display, esc beeps, nothing. I might have accidentally plugged the power wire coming from the rear fan into a lead coming from inside the right tank. I don’t think I fried anything, didn’t see or smell smoke. Is there maybe a breaker or something I might have tripped? Any ideas before I get the multimeter out and start taking things apart?

THANKS yes this is at Ken’s in Pennsylvania. I just got it in January I had it sent to a friends house he lives 20 minutes from Cabin Fever he brought it to me the next day. I ran it at and show then Smallhaul took it home to finish thing build with lights and sound I also had him put 3 servos in to lift each axle independent. The tailgate is automatic a trigger hits the frame near the rear mine works really well the original builder is making himself one he said his didn’t latch well.

​@@Trucker1970 yeah! Updated my firmware and I have all the options now =D But! There is a problem: I managed to make my tracked crane pivot steer and go forward (I'm using ch1 for left/righ and ch2 for forward/reverse using the right gimball) but when I set the gimball for going backward it keeps pivot steer left... WTF!? Edit: maybe I should try to physically reverse polarity on one of the motors.

I’ll recommend a NERS from Hanson Hobbies it does not add power it’s like a relay it just opens the circuit and closes it which is what you want to replace the tap switch. Here’s a link.
